DANCERS Marshmallow TRIBUTE TO GROUP FIVE FINGERS

House of Culture Alfredo González Flores is pleased to invite the community Herediana on 10 September after 19 hours in our facility, the Feast of Marshmallows Dancers pay homage to the Group Five Fingers.
BRIEF HISTORY OF THE FIVE FINGERS BAND

The Fingers The band began as a concern of three friends and neighbors in Barrio Los Angeles in Heredia, around 1968. These founders were Eduardo Vargas Jara, Guillermo Vargas and Carlos Campos Núñez Fontana. Using very simple musical instruments, and even many manufactured or modified by them.
The group in its early days was called The Robin, and then changed to The Five Fingers. By then had joined other musician friends group. Finally being structured by five members, hence the name "five fingers" Later Mr. Gerardo Barrantes Morera gave his patronage to the group, providing all equipment and electronic music.
The five band members were: Carlos Fontana as lead singer, guitarist requinto Eduardo Vargas, Carlos Saenz in harmony guitar, bass Guillermo Campos, Luis Borbon on drums and keyboards Edwin Aguilar. His repertoire was juvenile court with romantic ballads and soft rock in English. The group performed in many parts of the country, but mainly in the mind of Heredia and San José, his seat was "El Greco Discotheque" Mr. Barrantes property manager of the group, typical classroom today also performed regularly at the "The Samara "in Santo Domingo de Heredia, a place that met their primary group of fans.
After a few years the group became a bit more commercial, playing all kinds of music, for which most members were integrated with other instruments, among them were Francis Brennan on sax, Rodrigo Vargas on congas, Kike de Heredia trumpet, trombone Arnoldo Corrales and Olger Vega (Chivarra) as a singer.
Around 1975 the group disbanded in different situations, but was reunited with its original members in 2001 to record two CDs, since in the 70's not done any recording. And again meet in this year 2010 to perform this activity that we enjoy today in the House of Culture
