How Do You Fit An Elephant In A Mini

P or reason for the film to be presented in the film forum this Wednesday (B 13) wanted to introduce you to my friends Fried Green is all about Parkour, an extreme sport subculture of French origin which has appeared in several films and television commercials.

Le Parkour (pronounced par-turmeric) is a new extreme sport created in France by David Belle.

Parkour in the strictest sense as defined by David Belle is the art of moving through your environment as effectively and quickly as possible using only the human body. More generally could be defined as the discipline of development of physical and mental capacities of human beings, through training to overcome obstacles.

L'art du déplacement: Literally, the art of displacement / forward movement. This is the term used for the training originally developed by David Belle and his peers in Lisses, France before the term was invented Parkour. The practice is essentially identical to parkour, but the philosophy is more about the development of strength, courage and human capacity, utility and aesthetic movements are important.

A Parkour practitioners are called traceurs, or traceuses for women.

Here is a video of the Yamakasi group which is part of the operator of the sport, David Belle. As I said on the blog Cinéart, these guys seem flying monkeys, I think Spiderman should take some lessons with them.
